The Emergency app sends you Watches and Warnings that are issued by the National Weather Service/NOAA, and the United States Geological Survey (USGS).
- For each location you monitor, you can select which hazards you want to receive notifications for. Customize the alerts you receive by tapping on "View location" on the location that you wish to change, tapping the cog in the top right, and then "Set up alerts".
- To receive alerts via push notification, please make sure notifications are turned on in the app and on your device (general settings).
Please be aware that most, National Weather Service/NOAA alerts expire at a specified time. Once that occurs, you will receive a notification to say the alert is now over.
IMPORTANT: Please sign up for local emergency alerts that your community offers. Your local government issues evacuation notices and has the best visibility on local emergency events in your area. The Emergency app only allows you to monitor Watches and Warnings issued by the National Weather Service/NOAA, and the United States Geological Survey.
